1. These guidelines are established in accordance with the ‘National Taiwan University Book Award Guidelines’ and apply to undergraduate students in the Department of Economics.
2. First-year students in the top 5% of the semester GPA (excluding physical education and non-graded courses) are eligible for the award.
3. Second- and third-year students in the top 5% GPA based on required and specialization courses (excluding General Education, Chinese, Foreign Languages, PE, and non-graded courses) are eligible, provided they have taken at least four such courses in the semester.
4. Fourth-year students in the top 5% GPA based on required and specialization courses (excluding General Education, Chinese, Foreign Languages, PE, and non-graded courses) are eligible, provided they have taken at least two such courses in the semester.
5. If scores are tied, students with the higher GPA from all courses (excluding PE and non-graded subjects) will be prioritized. If still tied, the one with more course credits (excluding the same) will be prioritized.
6. Students who have transferred to another department or university during the award review period will not be considered.
7. These guidelines take effect upon approval by the Department Meeting. Amendments follow the same procedure.
