Credit Review–Credits Obtained in Exchange Programs
1) Login myNTU
Students must, within two months after returning from their study abroad period, log in to the myNTU “Exchange Student Overseas Course Grade Registration and Credit Transfer Application System” to register all the courses they have taken (including those not passed or failed). They should then select from the registered courses those that have been passed, indicate the credits they intend to apply for, and submit the following documents: the approved request form for studying abroad as an exchange student, overseas course information (including syllabi, class schedules, and number of weeks), the transcript from the host institution, and their NTU academic transcript. The application will be subject to review by their home department and the Office of Academic Affairs.
2) Credits
- If you want to confirm in advance whether the subjects and credits (including general education courses) for studying in foreign countries can be counted as “required courses” or “the department elective courses”, you can fill in the documents of “Study courses and credits application forms for foreign exchanges” before going abroad, attaching the syllabi to the department for review. If you want to apply for “general elective courses”, you do not need to apply for an examination in advance. After you return, you can attach the relevant documents to the department to apply for its credits. The scores obtained by the exchange program are not counted in the school’s score calculation.
- If you want to apply for Physical Education credits, please submit the application form, transcripts and syllabus to the department, and the department will send them to the sports room for review.
3) Procedure
To make sure if the department will admit the credits: Complete the “Study courses and credits application forms for foreign exchanges” and send it to the department → register ALL COURSES at myNTU after coming back from the exchange program and complete the relevant documents → submit the documents to the department
